4/22/1929-8/29/2014 | Rubin "Ruby" Morrison, 85, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2014 from cancer. Rubin was born on April 22, 1929 to Gussie and Isidor Morrison in Brooklyn, New York. Rubin received his degree in accounting from CCNY and married Adele Berkowitz in 1963. Rubin worked in several different aspects of the Real Estate Industry for 30 years. In 1977, Rubin with family, Adele and sons, Jacob and Abraham, moved to Arizona where he worked for the Arizona State Health Department as an Auditor for 17 years. Throughout his life Rubin enjoyed being active progressing from handball to racquetball to ping pong but he... Rubin received his degree in accounting from CCNY and married Adele Berkowitz in 1963. Rubin worked in several different aspects of the Real Estate Industry for 30 years. In 1977, Rubin with family, Adele and sons, Jacob and Abraham, moved to Arizona where he worked for the Arizona State Health Department as an Auditor for 17 years. Throughout his life Rubin enjoyed being active progressing from handball to racquetball to ping pong but he always enjoyed singing whether in choir or solo. Rubin will be remembered as a gentle and kind soul who encouraged all around him and cared deeply for his family. Rubin is survived by ex-wife Adele, son Jacob and siblings Florence Surgan in Florida and Jack Morrison in New York as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
